The 21st century is, without a doubt, a digital age. Now more than ever, business owners need a website that reflects their company's objectives and target community. With so many website creators at your disposal, who do you choose from, and where do you start?

1. Wix

This is one of the most popular website creators out there. Over two-hundred million users build their websites with the help of this platform. Wix is both affordable and easy to use. Users have the creative freedom to bring their ideas to life with its 500+ customisable designs.

Businesses can select a design by industry, discover strategies to engage clients, and even select specific tools, such as online scheduling, emails, analytics and reports.

The free plan includes an assigned URL, Wix ads, up to 500MB of storage and bandwidth, and customer support. Premium membership starts at $14 per month and offers increased storage and bandwidth availability (depending on the monthly fee). Users can also customize their domain and have access to premium and VIP support options.

2. Squarespace

Squarespace is a website builder with a premium plan that starts from as little $12 per month. It was created to provide users with more ecommerce tools. Among them is the ability to track customers and generate gift cards while selling services, products, subscriptions, and digital content.

Squarespace also gives users the liberty to record their inventory, whether they sell in person or online.

On the downside, Squarespace's functionality is less intuitive than the other two platforms mentioned here. Some of the tools are hidden by tabs and the sidebar menu.

3. Weebly

If you are a small business owner, Weebly might be the ideal website creator for you. Completely user-friendly, the platform setup resembles Wix and contains structured themes that enable users to save time.

Beginners might appreciate its double-check feature. Upon deleting, users will be asked to confirm the action, ensuring accidents are avoidable.

Plans start at as little as $6 per month, cheaper than Wix's and Squarespace's starting price. However, unlike its competitors, Weebly has a specific editing style. Navigating, as an editor, can be challenging as you have limited control over the colour and size of the text. Nevertheless, Weebly is easy to manage.
